James R. Youngblood
Jim Youngblood graduated from Clemson University with a B. S. in Electrical Engineering before most of the cadets were born. For some years he worked in human services and then he returned to technology and computers. He worked as a Contractor at NASA Langley Research center where he started using Unix (Solaris) and got his first experience at system administration. For the next seven years he taught Solaris system administration. At Christopher Newport University (CNU) he worked as a System Administrator for a Solaris lab and also managed Windows PCs and worked with Apple Macintosh computers. A highlight there was working as the System Administrator for the ACM Programming contest when CNU hosted up to nine colleges and universities. After four years at CNU he accepted a position at VMI.
In Information Technology Jim is assisting Darrell Campbell in administering Colleague and Unix.
