Co-Curriculum
An important element in VMI’s sustained success at preparing young men and women for leadership is its extraordinary co-curricular program. Centered on the Barracks and military life, it also includes such elements as club sports and cadet activities.

Facilities
The military nature of VMI’s extraordinary education means that VMI needs to develop, maintain, and update such facilities as drill fields, confidence courses, and firing ranges.

Faculty Support
Of course, these dedicated men and women do more than teach. They inspire cadets to further study of and reflection on what they learn in class. They remain as well important advisors and mentors to cadets before and after graduation.

Scholarships
Ensuring that a lack of money never prevents a deserving young person from attending VMI and reaping the benefits of a VMI education is one of the Institute’s most cherished traditions.

Unrestricted Funds
Unrestricted money gives VMI the ability to meet challenges, take advantage of opportunities to improve the VMI education, and reinforce successes in the academic and co-curricular programs.
