Attention All Designated Web Editors - The content freeze is STILL on!
Unfortunately, the freeze is continuing due to some unforseen technical issues. We do hope the freeze is very near the end and editors will be back online within another day or so. We realize how inconvenient this is at this time, and are doing everything we can to get the system back up as quickly as possible for you.
Thanks for your understanding.
This notice intended as instructions for Web Editors of the website.
As part of routine maintenance and in an effort to comply with state security standards, Information Technology needs to update the hardware and software that houses our main vmi.edu website. This update is critical to maintaining the website on a daily basis and protecting it from possible attacks. We are not changing content management systems or changing the site layout, you may not even notice any changes after the update is complete.
Part of the update will require a "content freeze," which means during a designated period of time during the update we ask that all web editors refrain from or limit making changes to the website. Any changes made during the freeze will not be transferred when the update is finished. If you feel you must make an edit during the freeze period, you should make a note of that change so you can recreate it after the update is complete. If you know of changes that can be done before July 29, please make them now, otherwise please delay your changes if possible until after the freeze.
We know you are busy, but the update is necessary. We apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience this request may cause. If you have any questions or concerns please email firstname.lastname@example.org .
Thank you for your assistance.
