Commencement Ceremony

Thursday, 16 May, 11:00 a.m. in Cameron Hall 

Commencement is the culmination of four years of study at the Institute. The walk across the stage during this ceremony is a moment every graduate remembers.

Parking is planned for the Parade Ground. Inclement weather could make the Parade Ground unavailable for parking. In the event of bad weather you may have to find alternate parking farther away.  Notices will be posted on the VMI website with further information. 

Shuttle service will be available throughout the day from 0830 until 1400.

The doors to Cameron Hall will open at 9:30 a.m.  Please arrive in time to be seated by 10:45 a.m. Anticipate heavy traffic.

Due to limited seating, no one will be admitted without a ticket. Due to space constraints and security reasons, coolers, backpacks and baskets are not allowed at any commencement ceremony location.  Strollers must be able to be folded and out of the aisles.  All carry-in items are subject to search at the door.

Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Handicap seating is available.  Handicap drop off is located in front of Cameron Hall.
